Description

It's been a long time since I uploaded anything, and I decided my old DeviantID looked too shabby, so I sketched out a rough (and highly idealistic/sexy) portrait of myself to slap onto my homepage.

I eventually ended up coloring it. I thought I'd also match into the Monochromatic style as well, which is what you see here.

I winged the background at the end, but I think it turned out good, if not too simple.

A few things here.

Ah, if you didn't notice, I'm wearing a striped jacket in this picture like the one in Loss. It's basically my signature jacket by now, and I wear it everywhere I go (keep an eye out on the streets!), so I decided to incorporate it with this.

I decided to do this portrait Amaliee (:iconamaliee:) style because the last time I had tried it, it horribly failed.

AMALIEE, PLEASE GET OUT OF YOUR HIATUS! Start drawing again! Or I'm going to catch up to you.

....Looks like I made the image way too small again. I need to draw this stuff on bigger canvases, sheesh.

I'M AIMING FOR 3500x4500 NEXT TIME. Not really.

Stay thirsty, my friends.

*TO IMPROVEMENT CLUB:
I'd like to get some help with light and shadow, because I know I just instinctually (and by that I mean randomly) dabbed on shadows in places I thought suitable. Also, some parts are out of proportion, but I'm not sure which. Thanks.

HOLY COW. I see quite a bit of improvement here, my friend! o Ao
I'm flattered that I served as partial inspiration for this, but you pull off this style so much better than I do! xD "Catch up to me"? I think I'm the one who needs to do the catching up! ...but I should probably be more active on this site. ahhh i'm getting there!
